Thick Crust Cheese & Pepperoni Protein Pizza







SERVING SIZE: 1/2 pizza

Measurement Style:


– 15g light butter (Country Crock brand recommended)
– 56g Devotion Nutrition Buttery Blend whey (or unflavored/”multipurpose” whey)
– 1 egg
– 1/4 tsp baking powder
– 30g coconut flour
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
– 100g pizza sauce
– 7 pieces turkey pepperoni
– 20g mozzarella

*Note: When baking with protein powder, we recommend staying away from pure isolate powder as that does not bake well (turns recipes to a cardboard texture). Whey/Casein blends usually work best for baking — our favorite is Devotion Nutrition brand. Their buttery blend is perfect for savory recipes like this one. Using another brand of protein powder may result in slightly different macros.


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Melt butter in large bowl until mostly melted (but not too hot).
  3. Add all other ingredients except for pizza sauce, turkey pepperoni and mozzarella.
  4. Mix until smooth, then add a little water until thick/doughy consistency (like a thick pancake batter) is reached (will be sticky).
  5. Grease pan with nonstick cooking spray and heat over low-medium heat on stovetop.
  6. Place dough onto pan and spread out into a circle, about 1/3 inch thick.
  7. Cook that side for about 5 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until almost done. It’s ok if the center is still slightly gooey.
  8. Place pizza crust onto a greased cookie sheet or pan, then add pizza sauce, mozzarella and turkey pepperoni on top.
  9. Bake for 5-10 minutes until done and enjoy the pizza while it’s hot!
