Ingredients

– 927g lean Italian sausage
– 459g Yukon gold potatoes, washed and chopped
– 100g chopped onion
– 1 tbsp garlic paste
– 960g beef bone broth
– 720g water
– 80g kale, washed and chopped
– 112g heavy whipping cream
– 4 pieces cooked center cut bacon, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage in pan over stovetop for about 5-7 minutes, breaking apart sausage as it’s browning.
  2. Place browned sausage into slow cooker.
  3. Place chopped potatoes, onion, garlic paste, beef broth and water into slow cooker and cook on high for 5 hours.
  4. 30 minutes before serving, add kale, bacon, and heavy whipping cream. Continue to cook for the last 30 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy the Zuppa Toscana!
