– 4 egg whites (at room temperature; don’t use carton egg whites)
– 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
– Stevia/Splenda to taste (I used about 1 tsp)
– 1/4 tsp your choice of flavoring/extract (optional)
– 2 drops red food coloring (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix egg whites and cream of tartar together with an electric mixer until stiff peaks are formed (usually takes about 5 minutes or so).
Mix in sweetener, flavoring and food coloring.
Carefully transfer mixture into piping bag and form into 9 cookies on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for about 25 minutes or until cooked through. Enjoy! The entire plate of cookies is only 54 calories!
