Copycat Chocolate Iced Munchkins

Measurement Style:


– 44g light butter
– 70g chocolate whey
– 30g all-purpose flour
– 5g cocoa powder
– 30g egg whites
– 50g mashed banana
– 1/4 tsp baking powder
– Stevia/Splenda to taste
– 15g vanilla whey

*Note: When baking with protein powder, we recommend staying away from pure isolate powder as that does not bake well (turns recipes to a cardboard texture). Whey/Casein blends usually work best for baking — our favorite is Devotion Nutrition brand. Using another brand of protein powder may result in slightly different macros.


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, soften butter in microwave. Add mashed bananas and then all other ingredients except for vanilla whey.
  3. Stir well and add a little water until cake batter consistency is reached.
  4. Pour batter into a greased mini muffin pan (sprayed with 0 calorie cooking spray).
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, or until you can stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean.
  6. Let cool and remove edges of the cake with a sharp knife, so it is shaped in a ball (not muffin).
  7. In another small bowl, add a little stevia, vanilla whey, and a little water until a thick icing is formed.
  8. Roll balls in icing and set to dry for 2 hours. Enjoy!
