SERVING SIZE: 1 bagel

YIELDS: 3 Cinnamon Crunch Bagels

Measurement Style:

Ingredients

– 260g nonfat Greek yogurt
– 120g self-rising flour
– 27g vanilla whey (Devotion Nutrition brand recommended)
– 1 tsp stevia
– 2 tsp cinnamon
– 40g brown sugar

*Note: When baking with protein powder, we recommend staying away from pure isolate powder as that does not bake well (turns recipes to a cardboard texture). Whey/Casein blends usually work best for baking — our favorite is Devotion Nutrition brand. Using another brand of protein powder may result in slightly different macros.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl, combine greek yogurt, flour, whey, stevia and 1 tsp cinnamon until thoroughly combined.
  3. The dough may be somewhat sticky, that’s ok! Divide dough into 3 even pieces and form into bagel shapes on greased baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, combine 1 tsp cinnamon with brown sugar.
  5. Press brown sugar/cinnamon mixture onto the top of each bagel and around the sides as much as you can.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes (or until done; use toothpick to check).
  7. Enjoy the Cinnamon Crunch Bagels while hot! These can be stored in the fridge for a few days too; just use a toaster oven to re-heat for best taste/texture.
